OUR STORY
The company perfume distribution started in 1996 within WELLA HUNGARY. By the end of the year 1998 the fragrance division was separated from the mainstream WELLA group and an independent entity named COSMOPOLITAN COSMETICS Kft was created.
COSMOPOLITAN COSMETICS Kft has shortly become a market leader in the category of bridge segment fragrances. The main brands represented by the company that time consisted of Puma, Mexx, Gabriela Sabatini, 4711 Original Eau de Cologne. The acquisition of license of Naomi Campbell in 1999, Bruno Banani in 2001 and Cindy Crawford in 2002 has brought a new era of boosting development.
Company did not focus only on bridge segment of fragrances. Also selective and premium brands were marketed and distributed. Some of the main brands hold by the company were: Gucci, Rochas, Anna Sui, Trussardi (2000), Mont Blanc (2001) and Escada (2002).
In year 2003 Wella and Procter&Gamble fused and the company was renamed to P&G Prestige Products. It consequently continued expenditure of its portfolio with the licenses of Tom Tailor (2004), Max Mara (2004) and Dolce&Gabbana (2006).
The fusion of Wella and Procter&Gamble strengthen the position of P&G Prestige Products on the market. The combination of its wide portfolio and the strong local market experience created the definitive number one perfume distributor company in Hungary. The position as a market leader further strengthen in 2007 with brands Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Valentino, Baldessarini, Laura Biagiotti, Christina Aguilera.
In July 2007, P&G Prestige Products Hungary Kft. became a daughter company of GLAMOUR a.s., Czech holding group and was renamed to Prestige Products Hungary Kft.
In 2017, the consequence of Coty and Procter&Gamble brands fusion, the company’s portfolio decreased, but still represents a major part in the lifestyle category. At the same time, the company name was changed to Glamour Distribution Cosmetics Kft.
Glamour Distribution Cosmetics Kft. continues its growth and expenditure by focusing mainly on its current portfolio, but also furthermore widening it. The negotiations for the new licences are constantly in progress and in near future more brands will be appearing in its portfolio.
The company structure comprises its own marketing, sales and logistic departments, own DTP studio, own logistic centre and highly motivated team of ambitious managers and sales reps working with enthusiasm.
Despite of its large portfolio, Glamour Distribution Cosmetics Kft. still has unfilled capacities. The potential and reserves of its human resources, technologies, warehouses, computer systems is here to be further explored.
